2026 Shores Autumn Classic
October 9–10, 2026 · St. Clair Shores Civic Arena · Hosted by the St. Clair Shores Figure Skating Club
A U.S. Figure Skating Sanctioned Event
The 2026 Shores Autumn Classic is conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of U.S. Figure Skating and the current Compete USA handbook, and is open to all eligible, restricted, reinstated, or readmitted skaters as defined by the Eligibility Rules. The competition is pending approval for the 2026/2027 Showcase Series.
Skaters must meet at least the minimum test requirements for their event's level, and may "skate up" one level higher than their minimum requirement. Athletes with a paid EMS series registration in the NQS or Excel series have a competitive floor set by their most recent series entry; skaters without a series registration may select their level based on goals and technical skills, provided the minimum test requirements are met.
Full program requirements are published by U.S. Figure Skating and Learn to Skate USA: Program Requirements · Compete USA Handbook

Team Lydia Challenge Event
A club team event held in memory of Lydia Wolanchuk. Teams of 2–4 skaters represent a club, with each skater performing up to two elements. Each element is scored 1–10, and the team with the highest total across all four elements wins. One element may be re-skated per event by raising a hand immediately after it is performed. Teams choose a team name (e.g. "Team Ice Angels"), published alongside their club.
The winning team in each category receives a team trophy, with individual medals for the top three teams. Cost is $100 per team, and proceeds benefit the Lydia Wolanchuk Memorial Fund.
