    • Starting in 2019 awards banquet there has been a yearly award in honor of Coach Marisa.  Coach Lindsay and the rest of our SCSFSC coaches will develop the purpose/criteria around this award and will announce it with the banquet information.
    • We will be also initiating the Marisa Marrocco-White Scholarship Fund.  This fund will be used to help support skaters who have a hardship whether in with skating needs, ice time, competition fees or ice show.  This fund will be an ongoing opportunity for friends, family and businesses to donate to.  We will have a link on our website and earmark certain fundraisers proceeds to add to this wonderful support for SCSFSC skaters for years to come.
    • Beginning right now all of our SCSFSC skaters, parents, friends, family, etc. can join the Team Marisa SK8 to ELIMIN8 Cancer!  The virtual 5K can be done by running, walking, biking, rollerblading, etc. during the month of July.  All proceeds will go to the Scott Hamilton CARES foundation and Karmanos Cancer Institute.
    • In January there will be an event held at Campus Martius that we can attend to continue to participate.
    • The top earners have a chance to earn prizes and the opportunity to have a ZOOM call with Scott Hamilton.
    This is a great opportunity to positively carry on Marisa’s positive spirit and zest for life while raising funds in her name!
    Here is the link to our team page, TEAM MARISA  On the page, there’s a blue “Join the Team” button.  When you register you will automatically be a part of the team.  If you donate $25 during your registration you can get a racing bib and water bottle.  Please feel free to share the link and let others join our TEAM Marisa!

  • SAFESPORT

    USFSA Safesport requirements. This involved viewing the online training as well as a background check through NCIS. The Safesport online training is good for two membership years.

    However, the background check that is done through NCIS expires yearly.  This will need to be done ASAP to make you compliant through Safesport.

    You can do this by logging into your USFSA account. You will see the red notice saying you are not compliant. Click on that red bar and follow the prompts to complete the background check. It does take some time for the background check too clear. It is advised to check back and check your email in case NCIS requests further documentation such as a copy of your license.
